With love and tenderness towards people…
So could be entitled the undefined category of the event that took place on April 26, 2017 at the Grand Hall of the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest.
The gala concert “80 Springs” in honor of Eugen Doga included the most beautiful and vibrant world famous pieces of music: instrumental, popular, romances, camera, ballet and opera – among them the waltz of the 20th century My Sweet and Tender Beast, songs to poems by Mihai Eminescu and Veronica Micle, a significant gift to spectators, TV viewers and radio listeners celebrating Maestro’s birthday.
This special event in honor of the composer Eugen Doga, who has recently become an honorary member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, was supported by performers from Kishinev and Iasi such as: Mariana Bulikanu, Anastasia Lazaryuk, Yuri Sadovnik, Ana Maria Donoce, Ana Chernikova, Vitali Advakhov, Tatiana Cherga, VasiliIovu, Virginia Syrku, Ana Moraru, Ion Timofti, Igor Shtirbitski, Igor Syrbu, the Akord band, accompanied by the orchestra of the Opera and Ballet Theater “Maria BieshuInivtes” from Kishinev (director – Dmitri Kyrchumaru, senior choirmaster – Oleg Konstantinov).
This third anniversary concert was held in the most beautiful concert hall in the world, in the Romanian Athenaeum(the first one being “In the Mirror of Moments” accompanied by the National Philharmonics orchestra “Gorge Enescu” that took place in 2008 and the second one – “Romantic Autumn”, accompanied by the Teleradio Moldova orchestra that took place in 2012).
Maestro’s confession from the stage was from Human to Humans, from Heart and Soul to Hearts and Souls.
The viewers, in turn, sang with love and gratitude “Happy Birthday, we wish you new accomplishments and many wonderful springs!”
And the Friendship Chora performed at the end inspired in some viewers the idea that the hymn of Romania should become this chora: “Chora has always united us through dance; it is during a chorathat the Romanians united on January 24, 1959…”
