On January 1, 2018, Eugen Doga performed a concert in Székesfehérvár, Hungary. The composer’s father, who died during the Second World War, is buried at the city’s military cemetery.
This event, held at VörösmartyTheater, featured works by Eugen Doga performed by the composer himself, accompanied by Alba Regia Symphony Orchestra, including famous waltzes such as ‘Gramophone’ and the waltz from My Sweet and Tender Beast. Piano works were performed by the author, Eugen Doga.
“A concert, which is very important to me, was held in Székesfehérvár, Hungary, where my father, Dumitru Doga, was buried. He died in 1945 during World War II. I thank our embassy in this country and Gergely Dubotsky, head conductor of the Alba Regia Orchestra of this city, thanks to whom I was able to perform here,” said Eugen Doga.
Eugen Doga also visited the local City Hall.
