Fifty-two songs and romances composed by master Eugen Doga, who drew his inspiration from the poems of Mihai Eminescu and Veronica Micle, will be included in the two volumes of the notes book “Dialogues of love”. The first volume with 25 songs was launched at the National Philharmonic in Chisinau as part of a performance featuring that most representative compositions of Eugen Doga in the evening of April 19, IPN reports.
The first volume of “Dialogues of love” was issued in 500 copies, while the second will be printed in the nearest future if the necessary financial resources are identified. Eugen Doga told the press that he will soon make a tour of Romania’s Moldova, where he will be present his arias and romances inspired by the works of Mihai Eminescu and Veronica Micle.
The master told the journalists that he feared to come very close to the works of Eminescu, who is an inimitable genius. He noted that his compositions are a sign of his love for the two literary geniuses - Eminescu and Micle.
“There is something in our genes because we do not know how to love and cannot bear the love for one another. This is what actually happened to Mihai Eminescu. These two individuals who were in love didn’t meet namely because of such obstacles. Eminescu’s work is a universe. Each of us dreams of reaching the astral limits. The works of the two contain music. When they wrote, they sang,” stated Eugen Doga.
The performance involved students of the Chisinau Music Lyceum “Ciprian Porumbescu” and soloists of the National Opera House “Maria Biesu”, who were accompanied by the Symphonic Orchestra directed by Dumitru Carciumaru.
The volume was printed at the publishing house “Cartier”.
